Anya Volz is a New York City-based comedian originally born in Vermont. All across America, men have said that her comedy is surprising funny and without preachiness. She is also an author and a content producer for Riot Fest the Hard Times and Macaulay (Culkin) Bunny Ears. Her work has been highlighted by BuzzFeed, Vulture and several comedy festivals across the country including New York Comedy Festival. She hosts the Best Mistakes podcast with Brooklyn comedian Nika Lombazzo. She produced and hosted Our Time of the Week in the main room in The Stand Comedy Club and The Thirst Trap with Anya Volz that was staged in legendary venues like Union Hall Caveat or House of YES. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father is Argentine and Scottish English descent. Her mother comes from Spanish and English roots. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children from her father's prior marriage. Buenos Aires was her home up until the time she reached age 6 and the family moved into Victoria at London. Taylor Joy claims that her move was extremely stressful. She refused to learn English and believed she would be able to return to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed between Northlands in order to attend Hill House. Then she enrolled in Queen's Gate School and studied ballet, while also performing in school's plays. After she turned 16, she quit school to pursue a full-time career in acting. Taylor-Joy always knew that her dream was to be an actress. It was when she achieved that dream, Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management provided Taylor-Joy with the opportunity of modeling.
